So far, by combining the digital and analogue components, I was able to create a new way of presenting books. Its geometry allow books to hang off the arms, exposing all sides of the book, hence the transparency. It also serves as a book marker, useful when going through piles of books during research. By creating an interlocking system, the bookshelf is able to grow and branch out, varying on size and density. The outcome is dependent on the users needs, making each one unique to the individual's preference. Further development will entail the interrogation of space and how this competes with a conventional bookshelf. With the use of the digital medium, changes can be made to alter the regularity of each intersection as well as allowing a flexible system to alter the heights and widths. Stacking will also be investigated to maximize space.
